HIG Giving Tree FAQ’s
Can I nominate myself or someone living in my household?
No, as stated in our guidelines, you are unable to nominate yourself or someone living in your household. The purpose of HIG Giving Tree is to allow our customers or fans to have an opportunity to be a blessing to those outside of your immediate family.
Can I nominate a relative?
Yes, you can nominate a relative as long as they are not residing in your household.
Can I nominate someone anonymously?
No, due to the logistics involved in the HIG Giving Tree program, the Submitter cannot be anonymous. However, the Submitter may choose to remain anonymous to the nominated family, and the family will be named anonymous.
How long will it be before my submission is posted?
If your submitted need is approved, it may take up to five business days to appear on our website, but feel free to check back periodically prior to that time.
Why was my submission rejected?
Some of the most common reasons why submissions are rejected are because the guidelines were not followed. For instance, we ask that you do not nominate yourself or a member of your family or someone in your same household. Also, we will not post expensive gifts, requests for money and luxury items like video game systems, cars or laptops.
No one has responded to the need I submitted, what should I do?
Once a need is posted, there is no guarantee that the need will be selected by HIG. While you wait, we encourage you to continue to pray for God’s provision for the family you have submitted and be on the lookout for other possible resources that may be available to offer them help. Or, to help speed up the process you can share this need on social networks such as Facebook or Twitter with the share button on the HIG Giving Tree website.
Why can I nominate a maximum of only two families?
Because of the logistics involved in coordinating all the details between the families nominated, we ask that you nominate only two families.
